Kevin Lyttle “the king of soca”

With his single ‘Turn Me On’ Kevin Lyttle was able to reach audiences all over the world. Released in 2001, the single became an instant worldwide hit. Scoring number two in UK music charts on its first week, it spent seven weeks in the top 10 of the UK singles chart.

It reached number 11 in Finland and number three in Australia. A hit in other twelve countries as well, the single has created a global fame for the artist.

Over the years Kevin did two albums and currently he is working on the release of his third album.

While in the middle of touring for his new single ‘Losing Control’ and planning to have a concert at the Millennium Hall today, the Soca artist caught up with The Reporter’s Tibebeselassie Tigabu and spoke  about his musical journey. Excerpts: More...
